About Saude Animal
Saude Animal is about the ordinary costs of retirement in Canada: groceries, the dentist, property tax, helping family, a winter away. Every one of them is paid out of a pension income, so every article ends up in the same place: what this means against CPP and OAS.
What we write about
- Pensions: how the CPP and OAS amounts are built, and how they shape a monthly budget.
- Home: downsizing, borrowing against the house, property tax.
- Health costs: dental care, medical receipts, caregiving, coverage while travelling.
- Everyday money: prices, family help and the arithmetic of a fixed income.
How we work
Articles are written by Saude Animal Editorial. Figures are checked against official sources, mainly Canada.ca, the Canada Revenue Agency, Employment and Social Development Canada, Statistics Canada and provincial governments, and each article lists those sources and the date they were checked. Examples use invented households and are labelled as illustrative; they show how a rule works, not what any reader will receive.
We do not recommend products, lenders or providers, and we do not take commissions from them.
Who publishes it
Saude Animal is sponsored content published by FinanceAdvice OÜ, a company registered in Tallinn, Estonia (registry code 14552772). That is why every page carries an advertising notice at the top. The site is not a government website and has no connection with any government body. It processes no applications, charges no fees and never asks for a Social Insurance Number, banking details or account sign-ins. Full company details are in the imprint.
The Saude Animal Sunday Note
Once a week, on Sunday morning, one household cost of retirement worked out against the pension, with the official source. More about the Sunday Note.
